Conditional format compare with 2 or more columns
Answered
Hello,
I have a table with 4 columns:
- Type of measurement
- Value recorded
- Min value acceptable
- Max value acceptable
I want to use conditional format to show a green background when value recorded is between the other two values and red if it is below minimum or above maximum... Can this be done in YF?
Thank you,
Diogo
Hi Diogo,
Thanks for reaching out to support with your question.
The conditional formatting you desire should be attainable with advanced conditional formatting.
You could set up two rules, using the "compare column" function.
I don't have the same types of data in my test but here's an example.
One rule in your instance would be a greater than column minimum" and "less than column maximum", set to green, and the other would be "less than column minimum" or greater than column maximum" set to red.
Can you try this out and see if it works for you?
Thanks,
Eric

Thank you Eric, I started on this road but when I saw the initial options I did not go to the bottom of the list to see that I could compare with columns...
Done and again thank you.

Glad to hear it, Diogo!
It took me a little time to see that option as well.
Happy to help, I'll go ahead and go ahead and mark this as Answered at this point.
