Change Table Name
Answered
In View, table "A" rename to "B".(No Changes in column number and column name.)
As per YF functionality
If we want to use table "B" in view, first remove table "A" and drag & drop table "B".
In this scenario, Columns and table joins associated with table "A" are dropped.
Again we have to do same activities with table "B".
Is there any functionality to rename the table without any impact.
Hi Vikas,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Changing the name of a table within Yellowfin shouldn't have an impact. I have attempted to create your scenario locally and the following happened.
Please let me know if you have experienced a different behavior or if I have misunderstood your question.

Table Rename in Database level not YF View level.
Table Rename in Database level not YF View level.
Hi Vikas,
Thank you for getting back to me and confirming the detail.
If a table exists in a view and that table is renamed in the database you will see that when you edit the view that table will be shown in red. You can see this in the below screenshot where I have changed the name of my table from "mock_data" to "mock_data_2".
Clicking on rename will allow you to correct the name of the table as it is now
Updating the name here to the new table name in the database. Once this validates the field will return to the color blue.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Nathan Goddard
