Can we have editable columns in the report ? User enters data and accordingly calculations happen ?

Hi,

Can we have editable columns in the report so while seeing the report if user finds some value is not coming correct from DB they can edit the value on the fly and accordingly calculations reflect in the report ?Please suggest.

Hi Anshul,

I hope all is well,

Unfortunately we don't offer Write Back, Yellowfin BI is a reporting tool, it reads data from the database, this cannot be used to update the data to the database. I hope this helps Anshul.

Thanks Mark for the updates.

Though, we don't have to write back value to db but just need to use the user value entered instead of using db value coming up on the reports and do the calculations. If no value is entered consider db value.

Please suggest if something like this is possible. Thanks!

Hi Anshul,

Unfortunately not. With this we can raise as an Idea to see if our dev team can look at this and possibly have this option available in a future version/build?
