Defect Fixed

After upgrading to Yellowfin version 8.0.5, some reports show the error message: "Error retrieving results Incorrect Syntax near 'AS'". It seems to be affecting reports that use Filters, including Access Filters, and only seems to be affecting Reports that are built from Microsoft SQL Server Data Sources. How do I resolve this?

Hi,

This issue is affecting users of Microsoft SQL Server when upgrading to 8.0.5, who are using certain types of filters. This may affect other aspects of the Yellowfin instance such as exporting Charts or using Reports as Views. While we have fixed this issue for the upcoming release of Yellowfin 8 later in the year, we suggest one of two ways to get around this problem.

  1. Rollback your Yellowfin instance to the previous version you were using
  2. Contact Support if you would like an interim build for 8.0.5 that addresses this issue. Please note that this will not have gone through our normal testing process

Kind regards,

Simon
