Grouping by Date
Awaiting Reply
Our system records the dates in this format "10/02/2022 3:49 pm". I used YF to suppress the time but i cannot get it to group by just the date portion. How can I trim off the time and then sum by the dates

Hello Byron Burton,
Greetings of the day
Thank you for your patience. I have attempted to meet your requirements using the Yellowfin user interface; however, I encountered the same issue you experienced. This problem arises because the aggregation of the column is being applied to the database rather than to the modified date column in the report.
To group data by date without considering the time, there is a viable option available. Kindly adhere to the steps detailed below to accomplish this task.
1) When publishing the report, click on "Report Settings" and toggle the checkbox for "Use as a View" to the "On" position.
2) Create a new report using the first report as the view.
3) Drag the relevant columns into the report.
4) Perform the aggregation on the date column.
I have attached a video for your reference. If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
