Broadcast Question

I have 38 reports that have a broadcast that is set to ONCE. It was created for an emergency. Now I need to re-run it. How can I set it to execute the ONCE option again.

Hi Byron,

Thanks for reaching out to support with your question. This makes total sense, I do this all the time for my support testing. Here's my method -

1. edit broadcast, set schedule to some future time, save

2. edit broadcast again, re-set schedule to 'once'

Hope this helps, let me know if I can provide any additional assistance.

Thanks,
Eric

Didn't work. I set it for 5 minutes, saved it, and it ran. When I set it back to once, nothing happened. How long do I wait to see if it worked on the ONCE setting?

Hi Byron,

Apologies, I can see this is no longer working for me in newer V9 Builds as well. However I do see the "only once" broadcast in the Scheduler Manager section, are you able to use the "run now" function from this page?

As a product update suggestion.

When copying a report, can it copy the Broadcasts with it?

Hi Byron,

Thanks for the update, another way it's possible to run a report schedule directly would be through the API -

https://developers.yellowfinbi.com/dev/api-docs/current/#operation/addToScheduleQueue

Recommendation outside of this would be to request administrator access to or execution of the "run now" / schedule manager function, or create a new identical "once" broadcast as potential resolution tracks here. Hope this helps, let me know if you need anything additionally.

Thanks,

Eric
