Can I stop a parent report from refreshing when I return to it from a drillthrough?

We have two requests from a customer:

1. Is there a configuration we can use to prevent a parent report from refreshing when we return to it after following a drillthrough?

2. Upon returning to the parent report, is there a way to preserve the viewport that was visible when the user clicked the drilldown?
