How does Yellowfin detect the number of cores?

My licence is set for a 4-core CPU, but Yellowfin is picking up 8. How is that possible?

It's not as simple as getting a count of the physical cores detected on your server.
What is being picked up by Yellowfin, is the number of logical cores on the system. Not sure the difference between Physical & Logical cores? There is a large list of articles forums on this you can find online.
To keep things nice and simple, I'll use a screenshot from Windows of what Yellowfin is picking up.
So if you are requesting a server-core licence, the logical count is what you're after.
