Yellowfin Docker Image?

Hi Support Team,

A quick question. I have recently become a convert to the Docker phenomenon. I am wondering if someone in the support or tech teams have created a docker image for Yellowfin. It would be a useful "getting started quickly" option for people who want to evaluate Yellowfin and have an existing docker environment. It would be useful for partners like us to quickly create a Yellowfin instance for troubleshooting, PoCs or demos.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve,

I hope all is well,

Unfortunately we do not have a docket container that we provide nor do we have any documentation that we can provide on how to set one up. At the most guidance I would be able to give would be articles and posts that you will be able Google faster yourself.

However... This does sound like a good idea for me to raise with our support/dev team as this is fast becoming something that is used by customers and we ARE getting questions based on dockers.

I hope this is ok Steve, like I said i'll push this with our team here.

Regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the reply.

I now have a Docker learning project. I will create a Yellowfin image and share what I come up with with your team.

I did a quick proof concept image and it worked well with Yellowfin, but I want to learn more about Docker image best practices and apply it to the image I am building.

I'll keep you informed.

Steve
