Hi,

I was trying to learn to create views using a stored procedure, here I have created a small procedure.

create or replace

procedure P_PRODUCT

(P_PRODUCT_ID in number,

P_NAME OUT nvarchar2,

P_VALUE OUT nvarchar2)

is

begin

SELECT name,value

into P_NAME, P_VALUE

from M_PRODUCT

where M_PRODUCT_ID = P_PRODUCT_ID;

END P_PRODUCT;

Used that procedure, but it's not fetching any column on accepting a parameter.

I have gone through wiki also but didn't find any detailed explanation of on how to create a view using procedure.

is there any video or document explaining do's and not to do's for stored procedure based views?

Regards

Pratap

Hi Pratap,

Thanks for reaching out to support with your question.

We have information on creating a View from a Stored Procedure on our wiki -

https://wiki.yellowfinbi.com/display/user80/View+Creation#ViewCreation-StoredProcedure

Does this help provide some clarity to the process?

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Pratap,

Would you be able to provide a compressed copy of your logs folder at <Yellowfin>/appserver/logs for analysis? we may be able to see what the issue is here.

Thanks,

Eric
