Smart reporting report frame in HTML won't work as expected

Hi Team,

Customer created a report frame in html by following the below guide:

https://docs.bmc.com/docs/itsm91/embedding-report-content-in-external-pages-721199133.html

The frame only works when we logged in before in Smart Reporting.

The specified user for this dont work when we add it in frame code (Username and password).

It requires a valid browser session to display the report frame without asking for login credential.

Customer wants to understand why it asks for login credentials (Username and password) to open the report frame even though the User name and password is defined in the frame?

Is it a bug?

Appreciate quick response on this.

Regards,

Amir

Hello Amir,

Looking into this raised a few questions I would like to ask.

First of which, is if it would be possible to grab an entire copy of the Yellowfin logs folder located at <yellowfin>/appserver/logs.

Second of which, I would like to verify this is happening when embedding a report and not a dashboard.

I look forward to the update.

Thanks,

Jared

Hi Jared,

Thank you for your response.

The issue is with embedding the report not dashboard.

I have requested Customer to provide the logs.

Thanks,

Amir

Hello Amir,

I apologize but it seems that the logs you attached in your reply are empty.

If you could grab a new copy of those you could anonymously upload them to our ftp, if you do this instead of attempting to attach them to your response please let me know when you do so and the name of the files so I could locate them.

Regards,

Jared

Hello Amir,

I apologize for the lengthy back and forth in regards to attaining the logs.

I am afraid the copy of the logs folder you uploaded to the FTP is empty as well.

Is it possible you uploaded the older compressed copy of your logs folder to the FTP instead of a new copy?

If this is not the case and it was a new copy of your logs folder please let me know. If it was the older copy (the initial copy you attached to this ticket directly) please create a new copy and re-upload it to our ftp.

Is it possible the client is using client organizations? If this is the case please let me know.

Regards,

Jared
