Drill through hyperlink on Crosstab

Hi there, I've scanned through the community and wiki but am not finding a way to specifically remedy the problem I'm having. I have a crosstab that has columns of dates, rows of bus routes and a percentage metric for the actual values. When I first created the report, I was able to get the date (column headers) to hyperlink in a drill through interaction. For whatever reason, after redesigning, the only option that comes up is the metric (in this case, % on time). I have date and route both available as fields and filters in the parent (crosstab) and child reports. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Here are a few screenshots:

Hi Craig,

Thanks for your question.

So I am able to investigate this further, are you able to let me know the version of Yellowfin you are using, by navigating to the /info.jsp page? There is no need to send it through, I just need to know which version you are experiencing this behaviour on, and then we can leave this post public for others to find.

Kind regards,

Simon

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the quick reply. It's 9.7.1

Hi Craig,

I've tried this out in my environment with a similar report and have faced no difficulties. One thing to check is the operator of the Date filter in the Child Report. It would need to be 'Equal To', or something similar to filter by the Date field in the master report. If you are using 'In List' it might be adding the date to an existing list of default values or similar. At this stage, I do not believe the behaviour to be a bug, just a misconfiguration.

Let me know if this helps to narrow down the issue.

Kind regards,

Simon

Hi Simon,

I did have the child report set up with a date range, but I just tried making a copy of the child, changed the date filter to "Equal to", then added the copy to the parent report, configured the links but same behavior. It only gives the % On-Time metric as a hyperlink choice.

Hi Craig,

I'm still having trouble replicating this. It might be easier to jump on a screen share to understand your environment and report in greater detail.

I am generally available between 9:30 AM and 5 PM AEST, let me know a time that suits and I can send through an invitation.

Kind regards,

Simon

Hi Craig,

Thanks for joining me on the call earlier.

I have confirmed that this is defective behaviour and have raised a task for Developers to assess.

I will get back to you once I hear more.

Kind regards,

Simon
