How to create Month and Year as a date type field from date

Hi,

I am creating a report where I have to set Month and Year as current month & year by default.I don't want to use date field here and user ll only be allowed to filter by year and month. Refer pic 1.

I tried using date function on Prepare data screen to create month and year field but they are added as varchar and integer to data . Refer Pic 3. This does not allow me to set default filter to current month or year (pic 2).

Is there a way I can derive month & year and dynamically set filters using Pre -defined option?

Hi Sumit,

Unfortunately this is not going to be possible, however there have been several requests for similar functionality so I have raised the following request:

The ability to write a custom query to set a filter's default value: #10228
