broadcast subject line to include "current date"

I'm using Yellowfin 9.17.0.3 and have a report broadcast configured to run on a schedule. I'd like the email subject line to automatically include the current date whenever the broadcast is sent (for example: "Broadcasts That Failed Today - 2026-06-08"). I don't see any options in the Broadcast configuration for inserting tags, variables, filter values, or substitution parameters into the Email Subject field, and I couldn't find anything relevant in Advanced Settings. Is there a supported way to dynamically include the current date or report filter values in a broadcast email subject line in Yellowfin 9.17? If so, what syntax should be used?

Hello Jose,

My name is Diego Gabanzo from the Yellowfin Technical Support Team. We have received your support request, and I will be your primary contact on the following ticket:

Ticket Number: #33947
Case Title: broadcast subject line to include "current date"

Issue Overview:

Thank you for your request. Based on the case description you have a report broadcast configured to run on a schedule and you would like to add to the email subject line the current date whenever the broadcast is sent.

After doing some research and tests, the only option I could find available when configuring a Report Broadcast is to append the date to the file name broadcasted as indicated here.

However, according to the documentation I could find that there is an option to append tags to the email subject line based on the filter values you have configured as indicated here, you would need to add "[filter:Filter_Name]" to the subject line so it can work as indicated below.

Would you please try and let us know if that works for you?

Hello Diego,

I used "[filter:Filter_Name]" on the subject line. That worked!
