Change subtotal row color for dimension field

Hello!

I am working on some reports to put on a dark background dashboard. Everything is being color coordinated based on the data (Sales/inventory/purchasing)

Referencing the attached, is there a way to style the DIVISION column of the totals row to match the color?

I saw that I can add a subtotal to the column and have access to formatting, but I don't want to add a subtotal to this report, just a grand total at the end

Is there another setting I am missing?

Thanks!

Hello Justin,

My name is Diego Gabanzo from the Yellowfin Technical Support Team. We have received your support request, and I will be your primary contact on the following ticket:

Ticket Number: #33840
Case Title: Change subtotal row color for dimension field

Issue Overview:

Thank you for your request. Based on the case description, you would like to style the Division column of the totals row to match the color as indicated in the screenshot where it currently is colored grey.

Based on the options available in Column formatting, I could not find another formatting setting to style the row of the Division Column at the totals row without adding a total or sub-total to the report.

A workaround that may work on this case is to add a Total Aggregation to this column, and match the background color of the cell and the total value font color so it is not displayed. The same would apply to subtotal. Please find below some steps:

  • Please Access Column Formatting
    - While in Data mode or Design mode, click on the Column Formatting icon in the header.
  • Select the Field Division, that you want to format from the left side of the popup.
  • Please go to Summaries and do the following:
    Using total:
    - Select a Total Aggregation.
    - Set the Background Color.
    - Set the Style of the Total and define the desired color.

    Using sub-total:

    - Enable Subtotal
    - Set the Background Color.
    - Set the Style of the Total and define the desired color.

  • Please let me know if this recommendation helped with this request.
