Sparkline support on cross-tab reports

I'm attempting to build a report that shows amount invoiced for the last X months by job type. The grid should show rows for the job type and then columns for each month. I then want to include a sparkline column showing the trend over these months.
So far, it doesn't seem like sparklines and cross tab reports work together. I'm hoping someone can show me how this can be accomplished.
