Login Error: You have previously logged in as {0} in Yellowfin 9.16

Hello Support,

We are encountering an intermittent login issue in our Yellowfin environment.

Some users receive the message “You have previously logged in as {0}” when attempting to authenticate. The issue affects only certain users.

Environment:

  • Yellowfin Version: 9.16
  • Application Server: Tomcat 9.0.102
  • Authentication: Standard username/password

We have tried the below but had no luck so far

  • Cleared Yellowfin cookies (YFSESSIONID, JSESSIONID, YFAUTH)
  • Restarted browser and closed all active sessions
  • Restarted Tomcat

The issue continues to reoccur for some users.

Could you advise whether this is a known issue in Yellowfin 9.16 and provide recommendations or patches to resolve or prevent this session-related error.

Thanks,

Dylan
