Use Chart to Highlight Report Data

I want to be able to highlight data (specific rows) in a report when the user clicks on a component of a chart. The data and the charts are coming from the same report, so I'd rather not create a copy of the report to drill through to the same data.

It seems like the chart component gets highlighted, but then it still just shows ALL the data in the report. So, I'm wondering if clicking on a component of a chart (e.g. a specific bar column) could work as a filter for the current report.

Any thoughts?
