ClickHouse driver on 9.16

Hello,

We have been trying to connect Yellowfin 9.16 to ClickHouse 25.7.3.13. Using the knowledge base article https://wiki.yellowfinbi.com/display/yfcurrent/Clickhouse is misleading, and I believe there is a bug. Using the directions in section 2, "Select Clickhouse from the databases list", does not work with any driver we have tried. The only way we have successfully connected is using a "Generic JDBC Data Source". We loaded the clickhouse-jdbc-0.8.5-shaded-all.jar into "Plugin Management". And when setting up the data source, we had to select com.clickhouse.jdbc.DriverV1(Clickhouse) for the driver. Neither com.clickhouse.jdbc.ClickHouseDriver(Clickhouse) nor com.clickhouse.jdbc.Driver(Clickhouse) would work.

Any guidance on how to use the actual "Clickhouse" option? Is there any other information I can provide?

Hello Ryan Smith

Thank you for your patience,

Request if you can attempt to upload the shared jar in the plugin management section. You can download the jar from the link provided below. Kindly inform us if this resolves the issue.

Hello,

Yes, that worked, thank you!
I have another question. We are running Yellowfin in a Docker image/container. I've copied the MySQL .jar into the image to allow YF to connect to it's own repository database. If I were to do the same with this Clickhouse .jar, would I even need to upload it in the Plugin list?

Hello,

I believe that actually worked. I copied in the .jar you gave me during the docker build, and i didn't need to load it in the plugins.
