broadcast report in excel format makes all the number columns a text format
Awaiting Reply
Currently when I broadcast a report in excel format and the recipient opens the report, the metrics show as text. The recipient then need to change the format to number. How do I broadcast a report that will make the metrics formatted as number?

Hello Steve,
Could you please check the column formatting settings in your report . If the column is not in numeric format you can format the columns as numbers in the report, which might help in retaining the number format when broadcasting.
Thank you for your patience, Could you please confirm the field was in numeric format as shown below
Hope this helps, Please update me on the results so we can proceed with the investigation.
Thanks & Regards,
Priya.

Hello Steve,
I have conducted tests on my side, and everything is functioning properly without any issues. I have also included a video demonstrating my replication of the process. It is possible that I may have overlooked something based on your description. Therefore, could you please provide a video recording of the issue? This would be very helpful.
Thanks & Regards,
Priya.

Hi Priya,
The column is numeric in the column formatting. I played around with the column formatting. I turned off the "thousands separator" and the column appeared in Excel as numeric! I think that this should be fine, but it would be nice if it appeared as numeric in Excel with commas.
