Google Search Results for Community Posts

Hi,

Something I've noticed recently is that when googling anything Yellowfin related, I no longer see any results from https://community.yellowfinbi.com/

For example this article: https://community.yellowfinbi.com/knowledge-base/article/how-do-i-turn-on-debug-logging-within-yellowfin-log-file

If I search for it's title, it does not bring up the article or anything from the community sub domain.

6f89cdc33129a38f15b7db16c19dc019

It does bring up the old forum and wiki articles but in a lot of cases, there is no corresponding wiki page for a given topic. A lot of questions with solutions from support are now also lost from search results

While it is not related to the application directly, I thought it was worthwhile bringing this to your attention, in case it is not deliberate

Thanks

Hello Dean Flinter,

Thanks for contacting the yellowfin support team.

Thanks for bringing this to our notice, I will forward this to my Dev team for better improvement and analysis of this behavior,

Instead of searching in google, you may search in Yellowfin Wiki directly from this link https://wiki.yellowfinbi.com so you may get the required results in a timely manner

Note: Forums are related to the old versions that are end of the support scope for updated details/solutions you can check in the community or in the wiki.

Priya Chegudi.

Hi Chegudi,

No assistance required per se. While the wiki is very useful, there is a lot of content not on it that is in community posts. Whether that be enhancement requests, logged defects or even just solutions to user questions.

I've been getting by with the search function here but it seems to primarily search the title and not necessarily the comments.

I just hope the issue can be solved as it has made troubleshooting issues more difficult

Thanks

Dean

I think when searching for whole sentences like that, they will definitely select words to display results. You can use the sign " '' to find the answer to the exact key. This display only brings results when there is a result. For example, you can enter a search "geometry dash lite"
