Hi guys, I have an R transformation step that has been running for over 2 hours now. Please see the ss. It should not take this long, so there must be a mistake, I want to stop it.

How can I stop this transformation step from running?

Hi Vefa,

Thanks for reaching out. You have may have some luck trying to stop the transformation from the Background Execution page, which can be found under Administration > Background Execution.

If not, I'm afraid there's really no other way to stop it from the YF side. For instance, once the transformation is running, the config db is no longer relevant, so it can't be stopped there.

That said, if this doesn't work you may be able to kill the job from the RServer itself. YF will keep the connection alive as long as the Rserver hasn't sent a response back, so any response in turn will throw an error in the YF process.

Hopefully one of these methods helps. Please let me know how goes.

Mike

Hi Mike, thanks for the suggestion. The next morning I saw that the step is finished automatically. I did not have to stop it manually.

But I will try the methods you suggested if I need them again!

You can close the ticket, thanks!
