Moving the Yellowfin directory

The Yellowfin ROOT directory contains Yellowfin custom login pages, additional database drivers, custom images, headers and footers.

If you want to bring across the above items from a different Yellowfin install, you would need to first install Yellowfin in the target environment and then bring across the ROOT folder.
This folder is only created after the initial startup, so if you have just installed Yellowfin and not logged into the system, this folder won't exist.

The ROOT folder is located under Yellowfinappserverwebapps.
Note: You may have mutliple instances under different names (E.g. Yellowfin or ROOT2).
Just confirm which instance you need to bring across and then rename it back to ROOT on the target system. This will ensure that when Yellowfin starts up on the new server, the correct folder will be used as the ROOT folder is initially used.

The ROOT directory also contains the Yellowfin programming code and thus determines what version of Yellowfin is operating.
