Hello,
When I use a combination chart I cannot drill through via a bar (not a line) inside a chart. When I change the 'combination chart' to 'vertical bar' I can drill through. In the Wiki it is described that drilling through is supported in a combination chart.
Using 6.2

I have confirmed combo charts support drill-through on both the line/bar, and thinking this come downs to how you have setup your chart.
What field are you using as the hyperlink field? Is that field available on both charts?
If you could send a screenshot of your drill-through setup (showing hyperlink field and join type) as well as your chart settings it will help us identify where the issue lies.
Thanks,
David
The first screenshot show the chart settings
The second screenshot show the drill-through setup
Again: I think there is nothing wrong with my setup, as drilling through via a vertical column bar chart does work. Maybe I did something else wrong, but I would like to know what.
Thanks for the screenshot, though this has actually confused me a little more :(, as I can see the drill through fields are not actually displayed on the chart (from what I can see).
Can I be a pain and ask for additional screenshots of the report builder for all reports related? It sounds like you have 2 drills happening here, and I really need to get an idea how these reports are built/set-up so I can replicate it here.
What you're seeing could quite possibly be a defect, though I need to replicate here so I can raise it to the dev team.
If this is a little time consuming, you could consider creating the same setup with the Ski Team tutorial data, and then export all the reports across, as I can just import it into my instance of Yellowfin.
Thanks,
David
Thanks for the reply. It is true that the drill-through fields are not displayed on the chart, though they are present in the 'column' section of the data. The reason for that is that I want to sort on 'Year' (numeric) and then on 'Month' (numeric), because the label is a concatenation of 'Year' and 'Monthname'. Otherwise my chart starts with 2012 April, 2012 August, 2012 December, etc. Also these fields (Year and Month) are present as a filter in a child report.
I send you a screenshot of the child report. The names of the filters are 'displayed' names. For example: NUM_YEAR = Jaar (which is 'year' in Dutch) and NUM_MONTHNUMBER_IN_YEAR = Maandnummer (which is 'number of month' in Dutch).
Maybe these 2 screenshots are also welcome. The fitst one is of the 'data' section of the master (combi-chart) report:
This one is of the 'data' section of the child (list) report:
If there are more images or data you wish to receive, please let me know.
