Need Update Sybase JDBC

Resolved

Hi Team,

When I try to create a simple view in Dashboard, I found a Java error occurs and the page pending forever, won't let me to create a view.

The same error occurs when I try to import and update a report.

And it seems that we need update the Sybase JDBC, and much appreciate if you could advise us the following things:

1. Which JDBC file we need update

2. Just Replace will solve the issue?

Regards,

Nancy

Hi Nancy,

I'm not familiar with that error however if you know that updating the driver will resolve the issue then that is good news.

1. The file which is the SQL Anywhere JDBC driver is called jconn4.jar

2. Replace and Restart YF is what you need. Make sure you don't leave the old driver in the folder because the JVM classloader may load the classes from the old driver instead of the new driver - i.e. you must give it no choice.

Please let us know how you get on with this.

David

Thanks David,

Thanks for your confirmation, happy to know that it si jconn4.jar not jcoon3.jar.

And I have asked for our DBA's assistance to get the recent JDBC, and will let you know how it goes.
