BMC - Moving CustomCSS.css into database

Dear Team,

This is something we need to support cluster deployment of docker images of Smart Reporting.

As you know in our cluster set up we have a common database shared across multiple nodes or we can say filesystems, if there is something that end user wants to change then he has do same on multiple nodes, but when this Docker thing comes into the picture customer gets the flexibility to add and remove the node as per their need which will cause the CustomCSS to go out of the sync. So can we push the CustomCSS into the Database so that as new container is deployed then without worry the customized branding gets applied on the application.

Please let me know if you have any question.

Thanks,

Mαyur

Hi Mayur,

Thanks for your email.

I believe the customcss file is kept inside the CustomCSS folder which is under ROOT folder.

All custom css files go into that folder.

Please move your files to that folder and it should work.

Click here to access our Wiki page for more information.

Let me know if you have any questions or issues.

Regards,

Mahesh

Hi Mayur,

The ability to store the CSS in the database is not something that is currently supported, but sounds like a good idea.

We have had a quick look, and while there are no immediate plans to address this, it has been added to the list of tasks for further review.

Sorry I cannot provide any further info on this, at this point in time.

Thanks,

David
