SSO URL

Sorry if this has been covered, I have had a look through the forum and on Google but struggling to find the answer. We use SSO and I am wanting to forward a link to a specific report, what do I need to tag onto the URL so it signs them in and goes to the desired report?

Hi Ian,

Have you seen this?

http://wiki.yellowfin.com.au/display/USER72/Administration+Service#AdministrationService-SingleSignOn

The documentation on SSO here goes into what parameters can be fed through.

Hi Nathan,

Yes I had a look at this but it's not exactly clear, we already have SSO enabled which is working as expected. We are trying to share URL's with other members of the company but if we do this it comes up with a login screen, I assume we need to tag something onto the URL to allow it to authenticate but not sure what that is unless we have SSO setup incorrectly?

Thanks

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the clarification. Generally users must be logged into to view content within the application, so your choices are either create named users for each member in your company, and automatically log them in through the SSO process.

or

Enable guest accounts:

http://wiki.yellowfin.bi/display/USER73Plus/Guest+Users

Which enables sharing with un-named users, but does require a more advanced license.

Let me know your thoughts.

Nathan
