Email for Connector Updates

Hey,

It would be nice to get an email when connectors are updated and published to the Yellowfin Market.

Thoughts?

Hi Simon,

Yup, this is something that has been discussed, not just for connectors, but also for YF updates.

So there would be an email subscription, or possible RSS feed which lets you know a new connector/build is available.

Not something that has been set in stone as yet, but something that we will need to do in some shape or form in the future.

Sorry for digging up old threads but since the community subforum has been out I've been able to get notifications via the RSS feed.

eg. setup an IFTTT (https://ifttt.com/) RSS alert on

https://community.yellowfinbi.com/connectors/rss

Just incase anyone stumbles across this looking for the same thing :)

No need to apologise at all! They're there to be dug up ;) .

Ok so this would have worked a few weeks ago, but we've since removed the sub-forums, so it all just lives under community.yellowfinbi.com.

We are still discussing the best way to notify people of connector/product updates, and think there is an easier way, which will be possibly in a future community release.

You will have an option to subscribe to community announcements! This will allow us to announce product updates, polls, webinars. Still hasn't been implemented, but will be...unless we use a different approach via our upcoming new flashy web site ;)

Will need to update this idea thread once changes have actually been implemented.
