Defect Fixed

On laptops with touchscreen, tool tips don't work when you hover over charts.

This is relevant to Chrome and Firefox.

Internet Explorer and Edge work fine.

Hey Emma,

Yup there is a current defect associated with this issue which is planning on being fixed in the 7.3/7.4 November or December release.

There is however a temp workaround for Chrome:

Open Chrome
In the URL bar, type “chrome://flags”
Find the setting for “Touch Events API”
Change this to Disabled.

Once this issue has been address with a YF release, we will update this article.

Hi David,

Is this related to Windows machine tooltips issue which I asked before(#3623-06-27)? Since all of the windows machines I tested are touchscreen devices. Thanks

Certainly sounds like it!

Don't believe it's Windows specific though.

You can try the work around though see if it helps in anyway. Otherwise the 7.3 patch will be released tomorrow with the included fix :)

This issue has now been fixed and was included in the November release for 7.4, due to changes with charting, the fix could not be back ported to 7.3.

The good news is that the 7.4 upgrade installer will be available in just under 2 weeks, so you will be able to upgrade to 7.4 Jan which will have this included fix.
