Concat number and text in calculated field

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need to concat a number and some dynamic descriptions from a different field. The result should be visible in one field, But that does not seem to be possible in the calculated filed. Do you have any idea how we could achieve this?

Hi Ingo,

Thanks for getting in touch. In most cases it is possible to simply add the fields together. If one of those is a text field, Yellowfin will treat the addition as concatenation:

Does that also work with cross tab reports?

Hi Ingo,

The data within a cross-tab report needs to be an aggregated metric field. As combining a metric and text will result in a dimension field, you will only be able to use it as a column or row header, which may produce poor results as seen below:
