Is there a way to change the view of an existing report?

We have a process where reports are developed against a test datasource/view and we then need to move it to the production datasource/view. The current process is to export the report, then re-import it while selecting a new view. While this works most of the time, we have had cases where reports aren't able to be re-imported due to a bug. Is there a way to just change the view a report refers to without having to export and import the report?

Hi Johnathan,

Unfortunately the links in the configuration database for reports->views are quite complex, and taking this sort of approach would result in more problems than you are currently noticing.

I think that solving the underlying bug in your import/export would be the best approach here. Do you have a ticket currently open for this?

Okay thanks. We will open a ticket the next time we run into this problem, but for now I don't have a good way to reproduce what we saw.
