Display a single date or text value on a dashboard

I want to show a single date value on dashboard, so users are aware of the latest date value reported. I am aggregating the max value of a datetime field, but I can't put it in a Numeric Display chart because it's not a numeric data point. Is there a way I can display the max date value in my data set on the dashboard?

Hi Sam,

Thanks for reaching out with this. I've been testing around this and believe this can be done with a tree map chart and altering the styling of that.

If you want to do this with a treemap, its already possible.

  • First you need to put a metric into the color field so you can access the colour settings and override them to be just white

  • Next go to the label settings and set the font you want

  • Turn off the legend

  • Turn off the tooltips

And then you get this chart:

Let me know if this helps you get the Date chart you are looking for!
