The date picker can be confusing when trying to set a date range. This is because it always shows two consecutive months when setting your range. This makes it appear like the date picker is stuck on the same year when applying a date range. In my example below, I've set my 'From' field to 1 Jan 2011:

As you can see, the 'From' calendar month now shows January 2015, as I've attempted to set the 'To' year to 2015.
