Try putting a title (aka descriptive label) on a canvas dashboard. Try now to translate this textbox/textwidget: It's not part of the translation file it seems.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I've logged adding canvas dashboard elements from translation files as an enhancement under YFN-18885.
During my investigations I also found that the feature to translate missing dashboards appears to be missing in version 9.
