MFA or Two-factor Authentication

Is MFA or Two-factor authentication possible?

Our customer wants an extra layer of security, just publishing over SSL with user/password is not secure enough for them.

What are the possibilities?

Hi Jurgen,

Thanks for reaching out with this question.

It is possible to use Two-Factor Authentication with yellowfin, however this is not done natively within yellowfin. This can be done using webservices to connect to a service with two-factor functionality. This article should be helpful in connecting to such a service.

Please let me know if this information is useful or if I misunderstood the issue.

Thanks,

Jared

Hi Jurgen,

I wanted to reach out and let you know I raised an enhancement to have native TFA or MFA functionality added to Yellowfin.

You can track the progress of this enhancement by following this Idea post. Any update on said task will be added to the post as they become available.

Regards,

Jared
